Junior Exploration Geologist / Core Logger

We are seeking a junior exploration geologist / core logger to join our team. This is a full-time on-site role at Golden Cariboo Resources’ field office located in Hixon, BC. Accommodations and meals provided. You would be responsible for logging NQ drill core, data entry and validation, field work including occasional drill hole set ups and bedrock mapping/sampling, and more. This role is ideal for individuals who have a natural attention to detail, enjoy collaborating with others in a sometimes fast paced environment and are willing contribute to a successful exploration campaign. Core logging experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Logging drillcore and ensure QA/QC procedures are followed
• Data entry and database management
• Utilize Micromine and other software as needed to generate maps and sections
• Occasional geotech of core
• Occasional field work / mapping

Requirements

• Core logging experience is a must
• Class 5 or 7 Drivers License is required
• Working knowledge and experience using excel spreadsheets
• Ability to interpret geological data
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Diploma or degree in Geology or related field with preferred 2+years industry related experience
• Relevant other certifications are a plus, such as First Aid
• Willingness to share knowledge and to learn new technologies
