Summary:
Axis Family Resources Ltd. is hiring a Temporary Full-Time Support Worker – FBI (Family Based Interventions). The goal of the Family Support Worker is to provide short-term, outcome-focused assistance to families experiencing significant challenges with the parent-child or parent-adolescent relationship. This program will provide support to families in person and virtually. Crisis interventions include conflict resolution, immediate modeling of parent techniques, facilitation of meetings, supervised access referrals, and additional work alongside the child. The Family Support team works closely together to help reach the best outcomes for both the child and the family.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, Child and Youth Care or related field, or training and experience.
- 1-year related work experience, or the equivalent in education, training, and experience an asset. Preferred training in working with families who are vulnerable or in crisis. - Reliable transportation, a class 5 drivers’ license and safe driving record abstract
- Current Level 1 First Aid (including CPR) Certification (must be completed within 3 months of hire)
- Clear Criminal Record Check (agency conducted, expenses covered)
- Good verbal and written reporting skills
- Good organization, computer literacy, as well as time and house management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of theory, principles and practices working with Trauma, Autism, or other challenges
