At New Wave Docks, we manufacture premium floating systems and marine infrastructure. A critical part of our success is creating our own high-quality, durable dock flotation and specialized components right here in our facility. We take pride in our production standards and are looking for a reliable, hands-on individual to join our manufacturing team and help run the machinery that keeps our operations moving forward.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a motivated, hard-working Rotomolding Machine Operator & Production Assistant. In this role, your primary focus will be operating our rotational molding machine to produce our signature heavy-duty dock flotation tanks, cable stands, and other specialized molded products. This is a dynamic, active position where you will see raw materials transformed into essential marine components every day. If you enjoy machinery, physical work, and being part of a steady production process, this is the perfect role for you.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Machine Operation: Set up, load, and operate the rotomolding machine according to manufacturing specifications.
- Material Handling: Safely measure, weigh, and load plastic resins/powders into molds, and carefully demold finished products.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished flotation tanks and cable stands for defects, trim excess material, and ensure all items meet our strict quality metrics.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely alongside the production team to meet daily manufacturing targets safely and efficiently.
- Yard & Shop Maintenance: Help organize finished inventory, move raw materials, and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Physically Fit: Ability to consistently lift 50+ pounds and comfortably manage the physical demands of a manufacturing environment.
- Reliable Transportation: Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
- Strong Work Ethic: Highly motivated, punctual, dependable, and detailed-oriented to ensure product consistency.
- Team Player: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work seamlessly in a cooperative team setting.
Note: Previous experience in manufacturing, machine operation, or plastics processing is an asset, but we are fully prepared to train the right candidate with the right attitude.
