Commercial Truck and Transport Mechanic

We are currently looking to hire a full time Truck and Transport Technician at our International Truck Dealership in Dawson Creek.

The ideal candidate for our team will have a good understanding of commercial truck and trailer mechanical & electrical systems and be self-motivated positive person with a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

· Diagnose electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems on commercial trucks and trailers

· Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems

· Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions

· Perform scheduled maintenance service

· Complete reports to record problems and work performed

· Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor

· Vehicle Inspections

Preferred Qualifications:

· Self-motivated and driven to excellence

· Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy

· Journeyman trade certificate in Heavy Duty or Transport Mechanics

· Related experience an asset

· Valid Class 1 driver’s license, with clean drivers abstract
