Nenqayni is a residential alcohol and drug treatment centre providing holistic healing to First Nations and Inuit youth in a safe and secure environment. Please visit our website www.nenqayni.com for information.
Shifts: 7:30am – 3:30pm (Monday through Friday) and some Saturday shifts 10:00am to 6:00pm. 37.5 hour per week. Occasional Sunday is also required. Flexibility is important.
Duties include: Cooking nutritious meals. food preparation and serving, meal planning, dishwashing, cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen and dining room area.
Salary: $22-$25/hr
Applicants must have:
· Valid Food Safe Certificate Level 1
· Kitchen experience
· Ability to work without supervision
· Reliable transportation
· Class 5 Drivers Licence
· Driver’s Abstract (Personal Driver’s Record – available on www.icbc.com
· Cover letter
· 3 work related references
Preferably applicants will be of Indigenous descent. Wage to commensurate with experience and documented education. A $1 increase given for valid Class 4 Drivers Licence. First Aid certificate would be an asset, some training is provided. Will need to submit to a Criminal Record Check for Vulnerable Sector at time of interview.
