M&D (2026) Ltd. is a heritage retail operations company wholly owned by Lhtako Dene Nation, proudly operating five historic retail shops at Barkerville Historic Town & Park in British Columbia. Our team brings the Gold Rush era to life through immersive retail experiences, interpretive storytelling, and culturally grounded products — including Indigenous-made and locally sourced goods.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Manager: Operations is the backbone of M&D (2026) Ltd. — keeping all five heritage shops running safely, efficiently, and beautifully behind the scenes. This hands-on leadership role oversees logistics, maintenance, vehicles, shipping and receiving, and the physical atmosphere of every shop, while serving as the primary operational liaison with the Barkerville Heritage Trust. POSITION DETAILS

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Oversee operational logistics, shipping, receiving, and back-of-house across all five shops
• Perform and coordinate maintenance and repairs for all shop environments
• Manage M&D (2026) Ltd. vehicles — maintenance, scheduling, and safety inspections
• Serve as primary operational liaison with Barkerville Heritage Trust (BHT)
• Utilize BHT’s DATS system for operational tracking and reporting
• Lead off-season maintenance, procurement travel, and seasonal preparation
• Create and maintain SOPs for all operational functions
• Support knowledge transfer from the outgoing operations team

WHAT YOU BRING

• 2–3 years of facilities management, operations, or trades-related experience
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s Licence (required)
• WHMIS certification (or willingness to obtain)
• First Aid Level 1 (asset)
• Strong organizational and logistics skills
• Comfortable with physical labour and working in a heritage environment
