Project Coordinator

The Project Coordinator & Facilitator is a key member of the Horton Ventures Inc. WorkBC Team, coordinating and facilitating the Pathways to Employment Program for participants with multiple barriers. This position will provide job search, life skills, and workplace skills. Key person responsible for facilitating, organizing, scheduling, and monitoring formal training for participants.
Duties:
· Will, in conjunction with the project manager, ensure all service processes and protocols are implemented and followed.
· Works with job seekers to identify the best training path in one of the following streams: Security Training, Hospitality and Customer Service, Skilled Labourer and Early Childhood Education Assistant.
· Finalizes, confirms, creates, and arranges all lesson plans and training functions as required to implement the program.
· Facilitates group learning and presentation for participants with varying degrees of skills and abilities.
· Maintains and monitors project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures while ensuring deadlines are met.
· Engages in marketing with local employers to identify work placements, and potential wage subsidies while providing coaching when required.
Skills:
· Previous facilitation experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds.
· Project coordination experience.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs
· Excellent organization and time management experience and proven ability to meet or exceed contract expectations.
Required
Demonstrated experience in: (1) Facilitating and supporting groups with varying degrees of skills and abilities; (2) providing client needs assessments; and (3) coordinating projects;
and/or
(b) a post-secondary certificate, degree, or diploma in a relevant field.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable vehicle are conditions of employment.
Criminal Record Vulnerable Sector check is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
