Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Liaise with family, Vancouver Coastal Health, and other stakeholders to ensure public confidence and
regulatory alignment with provincial standards of practice;
2. Create a family-friendly environment that provides safety and security for children;
3. Provide opportunities and effective strategies that support early learning;
4. Lead early learning activities, including stories, music and art, to help children grow linguistically,
physically, socially and emotionally;
5. Plan and facilitate the delivery of the daily program;
6. Work collaboratively with the school district staff;
7. Observe and support policy related to childcare programs.

Requirements:
1. Certified or Eligible for ECE Certification required;
2. Provincially endorsed through ECE registry;
3. Infant/Toddler childcare certificate;
4. Early literacy training;
5. Training and experience with children of special needs.
Preference will be given to candidates who have:
1. Infant/Toddler Childcare certification;
2. Infant and Toddler First Aid Certificate;
3. Special Education training, or other specialized training or experience is an asset;
4. Experience working with First Nations children in their early years.

This position is included in the Central Coast Non-Teaching Staff Association with a starting wage of $26.42 per
hour. A successful Criminal Record Check must be completed prior to acceptance of employment.
