Service Professional – Installation & Repair Technician

Job Description

• installing, maintaining, and supporting a range of services, including security, internet, home automation, TV, and home phone.
• provide on-site support and drive future growth for TELUS by highlighting sales opportunities designed to help our customers get the most out of their TELUS experience.
• provide exceptional customer service skills, and educate customers face-to-face on both new and existing products in their homes, all while increasing our sales and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Past customer service and sales experience
• Clean and valid full Class 5 Driver’s License or other provincial equivalents, a driver’s abstract will be needed
• Completed a minimum of Grade 11 Math, we’ll need your transcripts and/or diplomas

• You are driven by solutions-based selling, and enjoy recommending products and services that will make your customers’ lives easier
• You have a natural technical aptitude, a passion for technology and proficient knowledge of common consumer electronic devices
• You thrive in a collaborative team environment, but can also work independently with minimal supervision
• You have strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and can maintain a high level of performance while working under time constraints
• You have a normal colour vision which is required to work with colour-coded wiring
• You’re able to balance a physically demanding workload, which includes standing, lifting, climbing ladders, bending, crawling in confined spaces and working in a variety of indoor/outdoor environments
• You are flexible and able to work various shifts: days, evenings, weekends, statutory holidays, to meet business needs and customer availability, with the possibility of working out of town assignments
• You’re fluent in English with a clear and genuine communication style, additional languages are considered beneficial
• Your written and oral communication skills are professional
• You enjoy continuous learning and have the ability to learn formally and informally in a dynamic environment
• Can meet applicable testing requirements
