Position: Specialized Caregivers / Specialized Caregiver Support Workers

Location: Quesnel, BC

Hours: 8 or 12-hour shifts, as per program requirements

Wage: $25.95 – 27.54/hour; as per the collective agreement

Summary:

Axis Family Resources Ltd. is hiring Specialized Caregivers and Specialized Caregiver Support Workers to support children, youth, and/or adults living in our Specialized Supportive Housing in Quesnel. Building and maintaining healthy relationships with our Persons Served through a trauma-informed practice is the core of our work. You will promote a positive and healthy environment that supports our persons served towards achieving educational, social, and recreational goals while focusing on daily life skills development. Qualifications & Requirements:

  • A certificate or diploma in Community Services, Health Care Aid, Human Services, or other related discipline
  • 1 – 2 years’ experience in social services is preferred
  • Related experience in working with vulnerable populations or behavioral challenges will also be considered an asset (please outline type of experience in the ‘message to the employer’ section during the application process)
  • Reliable transportation and a valid BC driver’s license
  • Knowledge of and the ability to work with complex trauma, Autism, FASD, ODD or other neurobiological conditions is beneficial.
  • Clear Criminal Record Check (agency conducted, expenses covered)
  • Effective written and verbal communication
