Family Care Worker

Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm Monday through Friday

Qualified Applicant:

Able to work independently as well as part of a team
Have demonstrated experience supporting primarily adults with some youth addictions capabilities
Able to assist with delivery a variety of workshops using trauma informed and cognitive behavior therapy technique
Competent is assessing individual needs
Able to participate fully in cultural activities and any recreational activities
A benefit would be having knowledge of Indigenous culture and comfortable with all aspects
Knowledge of 12 Step programs or Wellbriety
Additional Requirements:

·         Criminal Record Check

·         Driver’s Abstract

·         Excellent written communication

·         Interpersonal awareness

·         Excellent oral communication

·         Client focus

·         Commitment to ongoing education/learning

Preferably, the successful candidate will be of Indigenous descent and have a Class 4 Driver’s Licence or be willing to get one within the 3 months.  Reliable transportation to and from Nenqayni Wellness Centre is required.

The Centre operates a smoke-free facility and provides a comprehensive Health Benefits package and Group Pension Plan once the probationary period of 6-months is completed.

Wage range is $27-$29/ hourly
