Barista / Laundromat Attendant

Hours: 35 hours per week
Wage: $18.25 per hour
Experience Required: Not essential; training will be provided.

Job Description

The Washboard is seeking a reliable, friendly, and hardworking individual to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with daily operations in both the coffee house and laundromat.

Coffee House / Barista Duties:

• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, espresso-based drinks, and other beverages.
• Take customer orders and process payments using the point-of-sale system.
• Serve food items and maintain a clean and organized service area.
• Clean coffee machines, counters, tables, and kitchen equipment.
• Replenish supplies and monitor inventory.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service.

Laundromat Duties:

• Assist customers with questions about laundry machines and services.
• Keep the laundromat clean, tidy, and presentable.
• Clean and wipe down washers, dryers, folding tables, and other surfaces.
• Monitor laundry equipment and report maintenance issues.
• Help maintain laundry supplies and organize the work area.
• Assist with general daily operations and other related duties as required.

Job Requirements

• Friendly, polite, and customer-service-oriented attitude.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Basic communication and numeracy skills.
• Willingness to learn coffee preparation and laundromat procedures.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow food safety and workplace safety procedures.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine cleaning tasks.
• Previous barista or laundromat experience is an asset but not required.
