Caregiver

A Private employer is seeking a caregiver for an adult with disability.

Location: Williams Lake

Wage: $24-$28 p/hr depending on experience & qualifications.

Hours: 8-40hours per week ( full time/ part time/ casual/ Temporary) Flexible shifts must be flexible (day/evening/night/weekend)

Language: English

Positions available: 2-3

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years related experience in working with vulnerable populations
• Knowledge of and ability to work with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Neurological disorders and associated with possible emotional and behavior challenges
• Reliable transportation and a valid BC class 5 Drivers License
• Criminal Record check within the last 6 months
• Level 1 First Aid including CPR or higher
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Engagement in professional development is necessary to respond to current and future care needs of the client
• Moderate level of physical fitness would be an asset
• Food Safe (an asset but not required)

Duties:

• Personal care
• Administrating medication
• Meals and feeding assistance
• Assist with exercise
