Cariboo Family Enrichment Centre (CFEC) is looking for an accountant/ bookkeeper to join our team in beautiful 100 Mile House, BC.
Our Community: We are located on the traditional lands of the Tsq’escenemc (Canim Lake First Nation) within Secwepemcúl̓ecw. This is the primary service centre for the South Cariboo. Which includes the communities of 70 Mile House, 108 Mile Ranch, Bridge Lake, Canim Lake, Forest Grove, Lac La Hache, Lone Butte and Horse Lake, among others. The area is known for outdoor activities, including an extensive trail system for hiking, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, ATV riding, fishing, boating and camping.

Job Description: The Accountant/ Bookkeeper is responsible for full-cycle bookkeeping, recording of financial transactions in all areas and ensuring compliance with accounting and Government standards. This role requires the ability to create and maintain multi-contract budgets and to provide financial analysis to support decision making for the organization.
Qualifications:
· Post-secondary accreditation in accounting or bookkeeping
· 3-5 years full cycle-bookkeeping in Canada
· Clear criminal record check
· Proficiency in Sage 50 accounting software
· Experience in payroll processing and reporting requirements
· Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices and regulations
· Excellent computer skills (Sage 50, Excel, Microsoft Office etc.)
· Experience in Social Service-Charitable organizations
· Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
· Organized and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
· Ability to work independently as well as a team
· Problem solving
· Excellent written and verbal communication
Responsibilities:
· Process all day-to-day transactions in Accounts Payable and Receivable
· Process and maintain payroll
· Maintain all employee related costs and benefits administration
· Prepare cheques, payments, and bank deposits
· Reconciliation of all bank accounts and General Ledger accounts
· Prepare financial reports
· Prepare and assist with budget preparation
· Prepare fiscal year-end financial records for Audit or Review
· Work as an active member of the CFEC by attending regular staff meetings, and other meetings as required
· Adhere to all CFEC policies and procedures, Mission, Vision and Value
· Other duties as required to best support staff and clients of CFEC
Hours: 21– 28 hours per week.
Wage: Starts at $32.00/Hour plus competitive benefit package offered.
