(in the new Carson Elementary School)
and we are looking to build our team

Positions available:
● Infant Toddler Educators; $32 – $34/hour (including Wage Enhancement)
● Early Childhood Educators; $28 – $32/hour (including Wage Enhancement)
● Early Childhood Assistants; $21 – $24/hour
● Depending on your qualifications and experience in the field of Early Childhood

Our Early Childhood Educators and Assistants play a vital role in providing a safe and engaging environment for every child. They create activities that reflect the interests and developmental stages of the children in their care. It’s also important for them to build strong, positive relationships with parents and fellow educators, ensuring that we offer high-quality childcare to our community.

Major Responsibilities – in this position, you will:

● Foster strong and positive connections with both children and their families.

● Collaborate with your team to maintain a supportive and safe space for everyone.

● Implement high-quality age-appropriate activities following our unique philosophy.

● Engage with children, and incorporate a daily flow of activities.

● Use our parent communication app to share daily updates and info.

● Keep all program areas and common spaces clean and safe.

● Adhere to all Child Care Facility Licensing rules and regulations.

● Pedagogical documentation is an integral part of the program.

● Follow our program’s policies that align with curriculum standards.

● You will be provided with a detailed job description based on your qualifications.

 

Qualifications – you bring:

● Valid BC license to practice.

● A Special Needs Educator (SNE) designation is also a plus.

● Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.

● Any training related to child development is an added advantage.

● Emergency First Aid and CPR certification is necessary

● Three written positive references.

● A current Criminal Record check with a Vulnerable sector search.
