JOB DESCRIPTION

• Provide hands-on labour (constructing, installing) for various research and demonstration projects in small scale renewable energy installations (solar, irrigation) & food security activities in garden/orchard maintenance, composting, etc. in support of berry production.
• Berry/orchard crop weed control, compost mulching, pruning, new planting and fencing.
• Harvesting and processing of berry and other wild-edible fruit/botanicals.
• Support development of online (video, webinar) resources for demonstrating green household living & property stewardship.
• Shared work to update InterraPlan Inc. website (interraplan.ca) using WordPress editing software.
• Provide Homestead guest accommodation maintenance and activity promotion as required.
• Provide assistance with administrative office & organizational support functions as required.
• Serve as a research support assistant to help with InterraPlan contract and partner projects related to land-use planning and sustainability.

$18.50 – $22 / hr

HOURS

M-F (30 hrs / week)

REQUIREMENTS / OTHERS

Preferred farm background with basic carpentry skills and post-secondary enrollment in agriculture or natural resources; supply personal safety gear.

Must be canadian citizen with valid driver’s licence and own vehicle, live on-site with accommodation available.
