Flexible Park Operator – Ten Mile Lake Provincial Park

Wage: $19 – $21/hour

Hours: Part-Time | Weekend Availability Required

Ten Mile Lake Provincial Park is looking for a reliable and flexible Park Operator to support park operations throughout the summer season. This role involves a variety of shifts and duties, helping maintain park cleanliness, assisting guests, and supporting the park team during busy periods and staff coverage.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, and being part of a team-oriented environment.

Shift Options

Shifts may vary depending on operational needs and can include:

• 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Hours will primarily be weekends, with some weekday shifts available. Position will begin around 15 -20+ hours per week, with potential for increased hours during peak season.

Job Duties

Duties may vary depending on the shift and operational needs, and can include:

• Cleaning campsites after guest departures
• Cleaning and maintaining bathhouses, showers, flush toilets, and outhouses
• Garbage and recycling collection throughout the park
• Ensuring campsite reservation tags are accurate and properly displayed
• Grounds maintenance and general park upkeep
• Cleaning beach and picnic areas, including wiping tables and litter pickup
• Assisting with seasonal maintenance projects such as painting and minor upkeep
• Checking in guests and assisting with reservations and first-come, first-served camping
• Cash handling and customer service
• Supporting other park staff as needed throughout the shift

Requirements

• Adept at handling cash transactions, including giving change and managing shift funds
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Able to perform physically demanding tasks including walking, lifting, bending, and repetitive cleaning duties
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Reliable transportation to and from the park
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Must be reliable, adaptable, and able to work a flexible schedule
