We are looking to hire a part-time personal care attendant to help the family and team for a 33 year old female, Morgan.

We are looking to cover shifts for staff members who are taking extended leaves (including medical) and vacations. We will have a variety of shifts available – weekends and weekdays, days and afternoons. We are more interested in your attitude as well as your ability to get along and focus on Morgan as we provide lots of training and support. You never know, this could be great for you! Pay is $22 per hour and includes weekly farm fresh eggs.

Morgan is in a wheelchair and is nonverbal. Morgan swims two afternoons a week and goes for multiple “walks” so you need to be comfortable with walking, pushing a wheelchair, physical activity that includes bending, lifting, walking and being in water. Additional physical labour includes personal care (so you must be comfortable with this). We have equipment for lifting and moving her so it’s awkward but not strenuous but you must still be physically capable of using the equipment.

Every shift requires a level of personal care, feeding, laundry, light cleaning of Morgan’s area, and a range of activities. Morgan likes listening to music or having books read to her, she loves the wind in her hair, and she loves keeping busy.
