Days & Hours: 2 hours per day
Wage: $32
Position Summary:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide direct nursing care to residents, ensure adherence to care plans, and promote a safe and supportive living environment. The LPN works collaboratively with care aides, families, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional nursing care to residents in accordance with established policies and standards.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, maintaining accurate documentation.
- Monitor residents’ health status and record observations.
- Assist with admissions, assessments, and the development of individualized care plans.
- Supervise and support care aides to ensure consistent, compassionate resident care.
- Maintain infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards always.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to promote a positive and respectful environment.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid LPN license with the BCCNM.
- Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, or similar settings preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
- Compassionate, dependable, and committed to quality resident care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Job Requirements
- Current registration and good standing with the BCCNM as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Food Safe Level 1 certification
- Criminal Record Check (vulnerable sector)
- Naloxone Training / Certification
- Recent TB Test (within the last 12 months)
- Updated Resume and References
- Proof of immunizations as per facility policy (e.g., COVID-19, influenza, etc.)
- Ability to work effectively with seniors and demonstrate compassion, professionalism, and strong communication skills
