Wage: $21 (with potential mid-season review and wage increase)

Job Description: Ten Mile Lake Provincial Park is seeking a reliable and self-motivated Park Operator for the afternoon/evening shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM). This role is responsible for maintaining park facilities, providing customer service to visitors, and supporting daily park operations. The position requires working independently, performing physically demanding tasks, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Job Duties (but not limited to)

• Clean and maintain park facilities, including bathhouses (showers, sinks, flush toilets) and outhouses
• Clean and prepare campsites between guest stays
• Collect and manage garbage and recycling throughout the park
• Provide customer service to park visitors and assist with inquiries
• Check in guests (reservations and first-come, first-served)
• Handle cash and process transactions accurately
• Monitor park activity and report any issues or concerns
• Perform routine grounds maintenance and general upkeep
• Work independently to complete assigned tasks during shift

Job Requirements:

• Must be available for the full season (April to end of September)
• Must be able to work the scheduled shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (including weekends and holidays)
• Valid driver’s license and driving record with reliable transportation to and from the park
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
• Able to perform physically demanding work (walking long distances, lifting, bending, repetitive cleaning tasks)
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Must be comfortable cleaning washroom facilities, including outhouses, showers, and flush toilets
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent schedule
