The Resource Centre Advisors (RCA)/Program Assistants are key members of our organization. In this position, you will assist job seekers to explore and use the available resources to independently develop their marketing tools, job search techniques, learn more about the labour market, complete online applications, and prepare for interviews. Your strong technology skills and keen ability to troubleshoot will be vital in this role as you help clients solve the inevitable technical questions that arise about word processing software, computer, technology and internet related problems, and help them resolve challenges with other office equipment. Plus, you will support, refer, and guide clients into WorkBC Case Management or other community services as appropriate.

  • You will also post, modify, and remove jobs from the online and physical job boards on behalf of local and regional employers and provide continuing administrative support to these companies throughout the job posting process.
  • You will provide administrative support to program staff, managers, and participants.
  • You will schedule meetings, appointments, interviews, training sessions, and program activities.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain program documents, files, reports, forms, and records. Respond to phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist with data entry, tracking attendance, updating databases, and maintaining accurate information.
  • Support program registration, intake processes, referrals, and participant follow-up.
  • Coordinate supplies, equipment, room bookings, travel arrangements, and other logistical needs.
  • Assist with preparing reports, presentations, newsletters, promotional materials, and correspondence.
  • Maintain confidentiality, follow office procedures, and support a respectful and organized workplace

 

Required

  • Criminal Record Vulnerable Sector check is required if hired.
  • Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
