Care Aide (Experience with Alzheimer’s/Dementia Care Required)

About the Position
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Care Aide to provide quality care and support for an individual living with Alzheimer’s disease. The ideal candidate will have experience working with clients experiencing memory loss, cognitive decline, and dementia-related behaviors, while maintaining dignity, comfort, and independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when required.
• Provide companionship and meaningful engagement activities.
• Monitor changes in physical, emotional, and cognitive health.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and calm environment.
• Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals.
• Qualifications
• Previous experience caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia.
• Care Aide, Health Care Assistant, Personal Support Worker preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia care best practices and behavior management techniques.
• Patient, compassionate, and dependable personality.
• Valid First Aid/CPR certification.
• Criminal Record Check required.
• Reliable transportation is an asset.
