 Job description:

Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd is seeking a junior mineral exploration geologist / core logger with GIS experience to join our team, for immediate hire. This is a full time on-site role at the Company’s field office located in Hixon, BC. Accommodations and meals provided. You would be responsible for logging NQ /HQ drill core, data entry and validation, some section production in Micromine, field work including occasional drill hole set ups, bedrock mapping/sampling, and more. This role is ideal for individuals who have a natural attention to detail, enjoy collaborating with others in a sometimes fast paced environment and are willing contribute to a successful exploration campaign alongside our team.

• Drill core logging experience is required.
• Experience and proficiency with Excel is required.
• Experience with oriented core is preferred.
• Existing proficiency with Leapfrog or Micromine is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Logging oriented drill core and ensure Company QA/QC procedures are followed
• Data entry and database management (excel/MS sheets based at present)
• Utilize Micromine and other software as needed to generate maps and sections
• Occasional georeferencing / digitizing of historical data
• Occasional geotech of core
• Occasional field work / mapping

Requirements

• Core logging experience is a must
• Proficiency with Leapfrog or Micromine software is an asset
• Class 5 or 7 Drivers License is required
• Working knowledge and experience using excel spreadsheets
• Ability to interpret geological data
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Degree in Geology +/- GIS with preferred 2+years industry related experience
• Relevant other certifications are a plus, such as First Aid
• Willingness to share knowledge and to learn new technologies
