Summary of Role

Duties will include:
- Substitutes for any Lead Hand or Light/Heavy duty cleaner who is absent from work
- Supervises and co-ordinates the work of Light/Heavy duty and Lead Hand cleaners
- Inspects the facility to ensure established safety and cleanliness standards are being met – Participates in safety and other in-service programs in a capacity determined by the manager
- Aids in the hiring process and will train new cleaning staff
- Recommends for additional services required in the facility such as painting, electrical, repair work or renovations
- Assumes the Manager’s duties when necessary

As the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will work in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, performing assessments and planning, implementing and providing personal and nursing care to patients/residents/clients. You will also administer oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures. The scope or extent of the skills that the LPN performs varies according to the predictability of the outcome for a given client population. The LPN operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of British Columbia, and according to the organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocols.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
