Relief Millworker
The Gold Trail School District is seeking a Relief Millworker. This is a full-time, temporary position, offering $27.53 per hour.
The Millworker, under the direction of the Director of Facilities and the general direction of the Operations Foreman, provides millwork services related to the construction, alteration and maintenance of buildings, fixtures and equipment. The successful applicant is expected to:
- Design, fabricate, apply finishes and repair furnishings and equipment
- Perform a variety of carpentry duties related to dry walling and millwork
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Plan projects and determine material requirements
- Report on work in progress
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, inspectors and Principals
- Select, purchase and maintain inventory
- May, on occasion, be required to perform other job related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- BC Trades Qualification or Inter-provincial Trades Qualifications
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License
- Related experience at Journeyman level
- Physical capability to perform duties
- Must have WHMIS training
- Clear criminal record check prior to commencing work
