SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION:
A Behavioral Interventionist (BI) works one-on-one with children and/or youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to implement an individualized behavioral plan of intervention to facilitate positive and healthy behavior. The successful candidate will be providing one-on-one and group sessions (as needed) and offer instructional and behavioral strategies for parents, and other primary care providers.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Child & Youth Care/Education Assistant/Early Childhood Educator Certificate, and education in Behavior Intervention Strategies from a recognized post-secondary institution or program
2. Two years of BI experience working with children and youth with ASD
3. Pediatric First Aid Training
4. Must undergo a criminal record check screening with satisfactory results
5. Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
