Grounds Person and/or Utility Arborist Apprentice required for a utility vegetation clearing crew in and around the 100 Mile House area of BC.

Some out-of-town work may be required throughout the year.

Chainsaw experience would be beneficial

Eligible candidates must be able to work outside in all seasons, physically fit, hold a valid driver license, punctual and reliable.

Potential candidates will be required to do a preemployment drug / alcohol test.

PLUS, a minimum of one year of related OR job-specific work experience. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered
•Must be eligible for C4 delegation and have experience in delivering delegated services
•Must have experience working with First Nations children, youth, families and communities

Cook / Mobile Chef

POSITION SUMMARIES:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Cook/ Mobile Chef to join our team. The cook will be responsible for preparing nutritious, delicious, and visually appealing meals and snacks for all of our programs and events in the mobile kitchen environment, as well as overseeing catering operations for special events and functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, creativity, and excellent organizational skills. The position may require extensive out-of-office work in the communities on evenings and weekends.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND TASKS:
•Menu planning and preparation for weekly programs, services and all require snacks and meals.
•Plan and prepare a diverse range of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, using fresh and high-quality ingredients.
•Create healthy and fun snacks for kids.
•Ensure that all dishes are prepared according to healthy food guidelines and presentation is fun and engaging for kids while maintaining consistency and quality.
•Coordinate catering services for special events, including training, and agency functions.
•Work closely with managers to develop customized menus and catering packages that meet their specific preferences and dietary needs.
•Manage all aspects of food operations, including menu planning, food preparation, setup, and cleanup.
•Kitchen Management, shopping and recycling and composting.
•As required provide guidance and training to other staff, students, and clients in food prep.
•Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies, and place orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels and minimize waste.
•Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards and oversee kitchen cleanliness and hygiene practices.
•Drive the food truck and be responsible for all aspects of serving and delivering food at events.

Qualifications:
•Culinary degree or equivalent culinary training and experience.
•Proven experience as a Cook/Chef in a restaurant or catering environment, with a strong track record of culinary excellence.
•Creative flair and passion for food, with a keen eye for detail and kid friendly presentation.
•Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
•Knowledge of Indigenous traditional foods, and nutritional food guides, and diabetes.
•Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations. MUST have FoodSafe.
•Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by catering schedules.
•Valid Class 5 driver’s license; willing to travel as required; clear criminal record.

Aboriginal Support Child Development/Infant Development Worker

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Aboriginal Supported Child Development / Infant Development worker will work within the context of a multi-disciplinary team and agency. The position will work in consultation and with additional supports to ensure inclusion of children within childcare facilities, preschool, daycare, and school age care settings as well as one on one with children needing developmental supports. In collaboration with parents, childcare facilities staff, consultant, and team members assist in developing an individualized program plan, a medical or behavioural plan as needed. Services are delivered in both Williams Lake and the Chilcotin.

Minimum Requirements
•Current BC License to Practice as an Early Childhood Educator and a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Infant Development, or Child & Youth Care is required.
•Three years’ experience in inclusive childcare preferred.
• Experience working with children aged 0 to 19 who have developmental delays.
•Experience in creating and implementing an individualized plan to support a high-risk child/ren with special needs.
•Demonstrated ability to use a cultural safety framework when working with Aboriginal children, families, and communities.
•Skill in administering formal and informal developmental assessment tools, and documentation.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
•Well-developed planning, organizing, administrative and decision-making skills.
•Ability to work effectively with program staff, Ministry staff, community groups and agencies
•Strong conflict resolution skills.
•Valid Class 5 Drivers License; clear criminal record.
•Willingness to work and travel to remote communities.
•Ability to work independently, good organizational, time management skills and computer skills.
