I am currently looking for a personal care attendant to assist me with my day to day living. I am a quadriplegic and need help with everyday activities including showering, bowel routine, dressing, meal prep, errands, light housework/cleaning, in and outdoor activities. You would require a Care Aide certificate (preferred but not required), First Aid/CPR, Drivers License, criminal record check and the willingness to learn. You would be a self starter and also have a good sense of humour, open minded, flexible and passionate about your work. This is my home, and I like to keep a laid back but team atmosphere. Wage is $19/hour plus 6% in lieu of benefits, average 24 hrs/week and some on call, overnight shifts, mornings and evenings. Looking to fill this position by the end of June. Reporting to the Radio Manager, this position is responsible for implementing the Tŝilhqot’in community radio outreach strategy and developing original radio content with community members and volunteers. This position will include working with youth, elders, and community members to increase Tŝilhqot’in language content and culture.
Responsibilities:
Coordinates and facilitates original community programming that focuses on Tŝilhqot’in language and culture by:
Providing technical support to local community members and volunteers to develop original programming
Developing and implementing outreach strategy and marketing
Networking with all six Tsilhqot’in communities and urban populations
Qualifications:
Relevant post-secondary diploma or degree would be an asset and/or equivalent experience
Ability to work well with community members of all ages
Strong communication skill, both oral and written
Ability to operate radio and audio equipment, use a computer and associated software (training will be provided)
Knowledge and understanding Tŝilhqot’in history, culture, language and traditions

The Tsihqot’in Health Department is seeking to hire a Wellness Coordinator for a full time position . The Wellness Coordinator will work with all six Tsilhqot’in communities to build capacity within the Tsilhqot’in Nation to help members develop their own wellness plans. The Wellness Coordinator will also work with the Wellness Coordinators in each community to support activities in community. The Wellness Coordinator will work with the Traditional Advisory Committee to ensure that Traditional Practices are incorporated into Health Programs.

Qualifications Education/Training
Experience Required:
Ø A diploma in human services, care aid, or a related field and/or experience working with children with behavioral challenges or developmental disabilities are considered an asset for this position.
Ø Related work experience in the social services or health care field is preferred.

· Current Level 1 First Aid (including CPR) Certification is required
· Approved Criminal record & RCMP check, updated every two years by agency
· Excellent writing, data collection, and facilitation skills are required
