The Auction Coordinator will work 50% outside in the yard cataloguing equipment and 50% inside, organizing, developing and proofing auction materials. The successful candidate enjoys multi-tasking, operating in an exciting, fast-moving setting, and working with a tight-knit team, with the option to occasionally travel to assist at other auction sites across western Canada

The Opportunity:
The Auction Coordinator’s duties are to:
Collect information on auction items, proofing to make sure that all information is listed correctly and in a highly consistent format;
Organize auction items in sales sequence;
Prepare advertising for upcoming auctions: brochures, catalogues, etc.;
Promote a culture where the health & safety of employees and customers is a top priority for all;
Travel between auctions to assist Territory Sales Managers with equipment appraisals;
Assist the Equipment Manager to resolve contract-related issues;
Support the Operations team with auction duties: register bidders, clerk timed-auction lots and stationary equipment, help take bids, provide general admin support, etc.
Here’s what you bring:
The successful candidate for the Auction Coordinator position will have/be:
A high school or post-secondary graduate (additional education or training will be considered an asset);
Strong written and verbal communications in English;
Excellent Word and PowerPoint skills, plus experience with digital cameras or drones;
Experience creating and working with spreadsheets in Excel;
Willing to work indoors and outdoors year-round;
Capable of climbing on and off large equipment and trucks;
Available to work paid overtime around busy auction times (4-6x per year), including occasional weekends prior to, during, and after each sale;
Able to visit other auction sites in western Canada from time to time;
A valid, clean driver’s licence (no suspensions);
Previous customer service skills are an asset;

ANNUAL SALARY
$57,500 + $10,000-$20,000 in paid overtime
