Qualifications/Certificates

  • Aboriginal ancestry required

  • A minimum of two (2) years post-secondary education in the Human Services or a combination of education, training or experience
  • A minimum of two (2) years experience working with Aboriginal communities
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of aboriginal educational resources and an understanding of Aboriginal family cultural needs

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Assistant General Manager & General Manager, the successful candidate will be a talented gaming orientated individual with strong management capabilities – a person who wishes to further their professional career within the gaming industry and play an active leadership role in all aspects and departments of Signal Point Gaming.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform the required gaming management duties and ensure the safety, security and integrity of gaming while maintaining strong working relationships with all guests and Signal Point Gaming team members.
  • Have conflict resolution skills and abilities to address disputes in an empathetic manner while ensuring fast and flawless guest service.
  • As a self-motivated and dynamic leader you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the operations of the gaming facility while providing a positive efficient work atmosphere for guests and Signal Point Gaming team members.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of all gaming policies and procedures and ensure all team members are working in compliance with procedures, internal controls, company policies and procedures and/or BCLC policies and procedures; report any violations and escalate as necessary.
  • Daily GMS report balancing, vault daily custody and reconciliations, float distributions and balancing, weekly gaming, bingo, concession / lottery and food and beverage deposits.
  • Oversee scheduling, approve time, over-see staffing levels to ensure they are maintained to provide superior guest service.
  • Demonstrated abilities or ability to gain knowledge as Cash Cage Supervisor, Slot Supervisor, Count Team member, Lotto Concession and Bingo job functions.
  • Oversee all aspects of Signal Point Gaming’s facility including food and beverage as required; and perform other duties as assigned.

 

What You Will Require:

  • Post-Secondary education in finance, business, accounting or four years gaming experience an asset.
  • Minimum three years of management or supervisory experience an asset.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (excel, word, outlook, power point) an asset.
  • Proven track record in having leadership and competency skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and willingness to continually increase knowledge of all Signal Point Gaming’s departmental policies and procedures.
  • Must present a professional appearance and be willing to work all shifts including evenings, days, weekends and stat holidays.
