The LCBO is currently accepting applications for Part-time Customer Service Representatives to work in LCBO’s retail store in Clinton.

Part-time Customer Service Representatives are expected to serve customers promptly, courteously and responsibly and in addition to interacting with customers, your responsibilities will include unloading trucks; handling stock; and operating computerized cash registers. Physical tasks include repetitive moving and lifting of bottles varying in weight, and lifting cases weighing up to 60 lbs/28 kg; standing for extended periods of time and being able to reach, climb, bend, twist and walk.

Hours available to casual employees will depend on the operational requirements for each store and are scheduled in accordance with the collective agreement based on an employee’s seniority and availability. Customer Service Representatives are usually assigned to work during our peak periods (evening and weekend shifts), or whenever extra help is required. You must be available for work during peak business periods (i.e. Christmas, tourist periods, etc.). Hours are not guaranteed, but are scheduled in advance by the store manager. However, on occasion, you may be called in to work on short notice.

A hands-on role helping children and youth in your community

An integral member of a multi-disciplinary Community Mental Health Team and in coordination with other community agencies and professionals, you provide a range of mental health services to children, youth and their families, when the child or youth is suffering from serious emotional, psychological, behavioral or psychiatric illness.

As a Child and Youth Mental Health Clinician, you provide direct clinical services such as intake, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention for children, youth and their families. Consulting with community agencies, schools, hospitals, and other ministry programs, you understand the importance of being involved in community education, development, coordination and prevention/early intervention programs. You build and maintain relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders in the community to ensure that conflicts are resolved and appropriate outcomes are achieved.

Qualifications:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

Education and Experience

Masters in Social Work, Educational Counseling, Clinical Psychology or Child and Youth Care or comparable graduate degree at the Master’s level, or equivalent.

Experience working in child and youth mental health services, with responsibility for providing a wide range of community based mental health services.

Successful social work candidates are required to seek and obtain clinical registration with the BC College of Social Workers (BCCSW) within 6 months of having completed the required 3000 hours of supervised clinical practice.

United Way Thompson Nicola Cariboo is looking for a dynamic individual with strong coordination, communication and organizational skills to fulfill the unique role of Community Wellness Manager. The wage for this position is $31.06 per hour, plus benefits. This person would have a pivotal role in the BC Wildfire recovery effort, with strong exposure to a diversity of regional stakeholder and communities.

Duties:

Creating a coordinated action plan – 15%

• Work closely with local government and current recovery activities in the region
• Initiate planning and implementation of strategy to reduce duplication of services and increase ongoing coordination and support through a network of service and professional organizations

Implement a coordinated action plan and some community activities in the region – 45%

• Track information on activated and supports to understand if adequate supports are available (e.g., so that when community members ask for help they are able to receive it in a timely manner)
• Targeted outreach and programming reaching impacted community members through a variety of events and programming
• Coordinating support for mental health and wellness practitioners and community leaders – including coordination of training

Liaise with key Stakeholders and community – 15%

• Support, attend and contribute to BC Wildfire 2017 Mental Health and Wellness Working Groups

Lead and coordinate communication and marketing activities – 15%

• Build awareness and understanding across community signs of stress, methods of self-care and connections to support and resources

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education such as a bachelor’s degree or diploma with a focus in social sciences, health and/or equivalent related experience and training in either profit or non-profit settings
• Be detail oriented, extremely organized and accurate in daily work
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and answer to a large group of people
• Experience in collaborative and/or community driven impact
• Sound knowledge of mental health and wellness resources as well as local community resources
• Be flexible and willing to change and adapt to accommodate the organization’s needs
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills including sentence and paragraph construction, proper grammar and spelling, concise and professional writing, and public speaking
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; must have ability to use computers and manage data and compose reports
