Key Responsibilities:

Marketing & Communications

  • Develop and execute innovative campaigns to promote local businesses, attractions, and events.
  • Create content for social media, blog posts, newsletters, and promotional materials.
  • Manage and grow social media presence, including content creation, scheduling, and community engagement.
  • Monitor and report on marketing analytics to guide future campaigns.
  • Support cross-promotional initiatives with local businesses and event organizers.

Visitor Centre Support

  • Greet and assist visitors with enthusiasm and professionalism.
  • Provide accurate information about local attractions, accommodations, dining, and events.
  • Distribute brochures, maps, and promotional materials.
  • Maintain the Visitor Centre’s appearance and update displays, inventory, and promotional items.
  • Operate point-of-sale systems in the gift shop and serve coffee, ice cream, and other treats during summer months.

Event Planning & Coordination

  • Assist in planning and executing community events that showcase regional tourism and culture.
  • Liaise with vendors, sponsors, and community partners.
  • Provide on-site event support to ensure smooth operations.
  • Promote events through marketing efforts and social media campaigns.
  • Support event-related administrative duties such as data entry, scheduling, and correspondence.

Data Collection & Community Outreach

  • Record visitor inquiries, feedback, and tourism statistics.
  • Track visitor trends and contribute to service improvements.
  • Represent the Chamber at local meetings, tourism events, and workshops.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education in marketing, communications, tourism, or event management is an asset).
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience with social media, content creation, and basic graphic design tools (Canva, Mailchimp, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or digital tools for marketing and event planning.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Knowledge of Williams Lake and the surrounding area is a strong asset.
  • Positive attitude, initiative, and a collaborative spirit.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction and supervision of the Supported Child Development Program Consultant, the Support Worker assists children and youth with extra support needs to attend and participate in community childcare programs, including licensed daycare, preschool, and afterschool settings.  The Support Worker works alongside childcare staff, following the plan of care that has been developed by families, the Supported Child Development Consultant, and other members of the CDC Team for individual children or youth on caseload.  The Support Worker’s priority is to ensure inclusion and participation for all children by providing that “extra set of hands” to encourage and support children who need individualized encouragement and skill development.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Job summary

The Operations Supervisor–ensures the smooth operation of the shelter and provides supervisory coverage to CMHA’s other 24-hour sites during evenings and weekends. The role ensures continuity of care and across multiple sites during times when senior leadership may not be present.

Duties and Responsibilities

Evening & Weekend Operations

  • Oversees agency operations during evenings and weekends, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience is a strong asset.

In addition to standard support worker duties, this role leads the night team, manages emergencies, completes required documentation, and provides operational support to our two additional housing sites during night hours.

Duties and Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Emergency Management

  • Escalate unresolved issues or follow‑up items to the Program Manager in a timely manner.

Shelter Support Worker Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols of the facility, buildings, and grounds to maintain security and safety.
  • Escort unwelcome visitors off the premises in accordance with policy.
  • Observe and assess client behavior; intervene to manage disturbances or medical/behavioral emergencies following established guidelines.
  • Provide guests with information about shelter rules, duties, and available resources.
  • Perform routine housekeeping tasks (e.g., vacuuming, dusting, garbage removal) and minor maintenance (e.g., changing light bulbs).
  • Monitor supply levels and report maintenance needs or supply shortages to the Shelter Manager.

Qualifications

Exploration Geologist

Golden Cariboo Resources is looking for an experienced exploration geologist to join our team at our exciting Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine Project, based out of Hixon, BC.

The Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine Property is located in central BC, about 4km east of Hixon which is about 55 km south of Prince George and about 50km north of Quesnel. The overall property size is over 94,000 hectares and the currently permitted area is underlain by Middle to Upper Triassic augite porphyry basaltic greenstone and sedimentary rocks of the Nicola Group within the Quesnel terrane in the west and sedimentary rocks with minor amphibolite of the Proterozoic–Paleozoic Snowshoe Group of the Kootenay terrane in the east; the latter represented by the Barkerville subterrane in this region. Ultramafic rocks of the Slide Mountain terrane locally occur along the Eureka thrust, which marks this terrane boundary. The Nicola Group is intruded by a syenite-diorite/gabbro body, assigned to the Early Jurassic Polaris Ultramafic suite along the western Property boundary and the Snowshoe Group is intruded by the Early Cretaceous Naver pluton, located in the center of the claim group. The Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine Property covers the historical Pioneer and Cayenne showings, the Quesnel Quartz deposit, the North Hixon showing and the Company’s most recent discovery, the Halo zone.  The deposit model for the Property is the orogenic type, consisting of gold bearing quartz veins and quartz-carbonate-pyrite replacement style mineralization.

Job duties will include, but are not limited to, all aspects of logging core, drill hole planning/set up, field work/mapping as needed, generate drill sections, interpretation, heavy lifting, data validation & more.  Must have Class 5 drivers licence, proficiency with Micromine, core logging experience and database management skills. The preferred candidate will already be a Cariboo area resident with own transportation and have over 7 years industry experience.

EDUCATION
Successful completion of two years of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Foreign Educational Credentials: Candidates with foreign educational credentials must provide proof of equivalency to a Canadian secondary school diploma or higher. An assessment from a recognized Canadian credential assessment organization is required, such as:
• World Education Services (WES)
• International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS)

It is the responsibility of the candidate to obtain and provide this assessment as part of the application process.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCES
• EX1. Experience in dealing with the public, either by telephone or in person (e.g., call center, front line customer service responding to requests for information, helpdesk, technical support, etc.)

  • EX2. Experience using various computer software packages or applications to perform daily tasks (launching applications, performing research, opening/closing/locating/editing of documents, or uploading information). Computer software or applications may include specialized software or any of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.) products.

ASSETS EXPERIENCE
• AEXP1- Experience conducting structured interviews, either in person or via telephone.

NOTE: Depending on the position to be filled, one or other of the following qualifications may be considered essential “necessary for the job” or an “advantageous” asset. This does not mean that you must have all these qualifications, but these criteria could be a determining factor in the choice of persons to be appointed. Plumber Job Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures.
  • Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals. • Follow building plans and blueprints.
  • Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies.
  • Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems.
  • Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed and materials used.

Plumber Qualifications / Skills:

  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings • Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper
  • Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Red Seal Plumbing Certification or
