Daycare – on call
Nenqayni Wellness Centre provides support to children of families who are attending the addictions treatment program for a period of 7 weeks. Ages of children may range from newborn to school age. Facility is licensed by Interior Health and accredited by CAC. Families from various First Nations from across Canada attend the 7 week program.
We welcome applicants who enjoy working with children and who are certified to work in a daycare setting. This position is for on call when our regular workers are not available. Hours of work are 8:00am – 4:00pm Monday through Friday. Daycare hours are 9:00am – 3:00pm. Please apply as soon as possible.
Must have:
- ECE Diploma – currently valid
- Experience working in daycare facility
- experience working with Indigenous population
- Valid First Aid – Level 1
- Class 5 Driver’s Licence
- Reliable transportation

Demonstration Clerk
Dawson Co-operative Union invites applications for the position of Demonstration Clerk to join our team at our Food Store located in Dawson Creek, British Columbia.
This position will work within our food store. This position will involve a lot of interaction with customers and the need to work on your feet for almost all of each shift. The ideal candidate will be energetic, able to multi-task and will work directly with management to determine the best products to feature on a daily and weekly basis.
This position is responsible for providing outstanding service to all customers, preparing and displaying food samples to standard and maintaining a clean and orderly work station.
Reports to: Grocery Manager and Fresh Manager
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Come to work with a positive and professional approach and attitude
- Be dependable for all scheduled shifts
- Provide outstanding and courteous customer service at all times
- Provide service, information and assistance to customers in a manner which will meet or exceed their requirements and expectations and promote the sale of merchandise
- Engage in conversation regarding the chosen sample products and other cross-promotable products
- Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times
- Maintain a good understanding of where items are placed in the store
- Adhere to all Dawson Co-operative Union policies and procedures
- Adhere to all Dawson Co-operative Union health and safety standards, per the Health and Safety manual
- Other duties as assigned
Working Conditions:
- Based at our Dawson Creek Food Store
- Standard shifts are four, up to three days per week; with flexible hours as required
- Store hours are Sunday to Saturday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm
- Requires frequent interaction and follow through with Customers, Team Leaders and Team Members
