As we move into a multi-discipline clinic model, Kerri Dunsmore Athletic Therapy is seeking a Registered Massage Therapist and an Athletic Therapist to join the movement, working as members of a local health collective in Williams Lake, BC.

What movement is this, you ask? We trust and rely on the simple truth that in order to feel well, everyone wants to feel good when they move. And when the body moves well, we feel well. It’s a cyclical reality and it is grounded by the philosophy that “things that are in motion, more easily stay in motion.”  The Kerri Dunsmore Athletic Therapy is on a mission to help create and sustain that feeling and lived experience working with our clients.

The Registered Massage Therapist and Athletic Therapist who will join our health collective will share and take on certain responsibilities as a member.

Member Responsibilities:

• Submit invoices to the collective in a timely manner
• Communicate resourcing and inventory needs to the Clinic Administrator
• Provide input on improving processes and policies
• Reporting on clinic incidents and complaints
• Clinical room cleaning after each appointment
• Providing own tools, linens, lotions, oils, note taking device and other resources required for delivering your skill set to a client
• Full compliance with the regulatory body in maintenance of your license as a practitioner
• Keeping charts up to date using the clinic’s system or one of your own
• Provide your own insurance coverage as required by your profession
• Seeking out community development opportunities for you to provide outreach into the community
• Liaise with the Clinic Administrator to book clients and create a reliable schedule
• Attend business meetings and planning sessions as required

Clinic Responsibilities:

• Maintain good standing and compliance with Canada Revenue Agency and tax accounts
• Provide a safe and efficient working area with all basic equipment including a treatment table, private room, booking service, and administrative support
• Provide access to and support from the Clinic Administrator for ongoing operations
• Be up to date with general liability insurance, accounts payable, licenses and other requirements so that the clinic can remain operational and in good standing with all stake holding parties

Shared Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the client booking schedule is up to date as per practitioner availability one month in advance
• Establishing and monitoring a shared services contract that both parties mutually agree to
• Provide and participate in marketing activities online and in-person throughout the year
• Create bookings, collect payments and provide receipts for clients obtaining services through the clinic’s online system
• Set and achieve weekly and annual sales goals

Member Practitioners are not employees.

The practitioners applying to this position should be aware that the expected retail value for a one-hour appointment is $119.05 CA before tax.

Our health collective charges a fee for each appointment and offers an additional 15-30 minutes between clients included in that same fee. These fees are negotiated within an acceptable range given the amount of appointments per week the practitioner is willing to commit to.

The current range for one 60-minute appointment for the Member Practitioner fee is $35 – $45 CA before tax.

Member Practitioners with high appointment commitments fall at the lower end of the range and those with lower appointment commitments fall at the higher end of the range.
