Quesnel Community Foundation – Coordinator Position

Salary: $40,000 – $60,000

The Quesnel Community Foundation is looking for a professional individual with strong administrative and organizational skills.  Reporting to a volunteer Board of Directors, the Coordinator will be responsible for day to day operations including but not limited to general office duties, Board of Directors functions, Fund Development, Annual Report preparation and be a liaison with other community groups and donors.

The Coordinator must be:

  • A team player, strong communicator, and a people person.
  • Cooperative, collaborative, respectful, supportive, and reliable,
  • Organized with strong computer skills including being proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Flexible and able to attend all meetings (which could include evening and weekends)

The coordinator position is a permanent position (35 hours / week) and compensation will be aligned with skills and experience.

Biller / AR

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Biller to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, billing customers, and handling accounts receivable duties efficiently. As well as supporting Admin with filing, typing quotes, emails, payments, front end customer service and answering phones.

Duties:
– Prepare and process invoices accurately and in a timely manner
– Handle accounts payable and receivable tasks
– Reconcile billing statements
– Communicate with customers to resolve billing inquiries
– Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks Online for billing tasks
– Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
– Negotiate payment terms with clients when necessary

Experience:
– Proven experience in billing, accounts payable, or related financial services role
– Familiarity with software like QuickBooks online or Jobber is considered an asset
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
– Ability to perform account reconciliation tasks efficiently
– Excellent customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette

Nice-to-have Skills:
– Experience in accounts payable processes
– Ability to negotiate payment terms with customers

Supported Child Development Support Worker (SW)

JOB TITLE:  Supported Child Development Support Worker (SW)
Casual – maximum 15 hours per week
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction and supervision of the Supported Child Development Program Consultant, the Support Worker assists children and youth with extra support needs to attend and participate in community childcare programs, including licensed daycare, preschool, and afterschool settings.  The Support Worker works alongside childcare staff, following the plan of care that has been developed by families, the Supported Child Development Consultant, and other members of the CDC Team for individual children or youth on caseload.  The Support Worker’s priority is to ensure inclusion and participation for all children by providing that “extra set of hands” to encourage and support children who need individualized encouragement and skill development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Grade 12
2. Current First Aid Certificate
3. Completion of a childcare course
4. 2 – 3 years recent experience working with children requiring extra support preferred
5. Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
6. Ability to organize time and follow instructions
7. Ability to work a flexible work schedule in order to meet the needs of the children as required
8. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
9. Knowledge of children with special needs an asset

FASD Key Worker

1.    Develop or contribute to the assessment and planning of services (Integrated Case Management Plan, etc.) to identify client’s personal issues and individual choices for the protection, care, and treatment of their children.

2.    Provide family with support, education and brief counselling as needed. Assist families in navigating the services for FASD and other complex developmental disorders.

3.    Monitor the progress of care plan and collaborate with client to improve its effectiveness through regular evaluations.  All progress is reviewed with clients and other team members where appropriate according to an established schedule.

4.    Establish and maintain safe, developmentally appropriate, healthy environments for children, young people, and their families.  That is, introduce clients to positive recreational and social activities and appropriate community resources and develop routines and activities that are safe, enjoyable, and stimulating.

5.    Adhere to and implement Child Development Centre quality assurance policies, which ensure the health, safety and security of clients and staff.

6.    Promote relationships of trust and co-operation with clients, respect cultural values and beliefs, maintain professional boundaries and educate clients on the availability of complaint resolution procedures at the Child Development Centre.

7.    Advocate for services and policies that meet the needs of children, young people, and their families by encouraging client access and participation in various community social service agencies. Increase parent and professionals’ knowledge of the neurological nature of FASD and other complex developmental disorders.

8.    Maintain necessary client and program reports and statistics to ensure all required documentation is accurate and complete.

9.    Engage in ongoing personal and professional development to respond to current and future needs of clients including a self-assessment of training needs and developing a well-documented plan to facilitate career growth and learning. Attend out of town Key Worker training and meetings.

10.  Contribute to the effectiveness of integrated case management teams including participating in team building initiatives, recognizing opportunities for team building, acknowledging team success and failures, and promoting multidisciplinary practice within the team.

11.  Establish and maintain working relationships with other community social service agencies in Williams Lake and British Columbia.

This person plans, develops, implements and oversees the day to day operations of assigned program(s). Supervises program staff. May also provide direct support to the individuals served.

Diploma in the Social Services field and / or Registered Care Aide Certificate is required.  Registered and in good standing with the BC Care Aide Registry is required, if assigned to the Assisted Living program.
