Seasonal Labourer requirements include: strong knowledge of municipal public works operations and maintenance; sufficient physical strength, stamina and coordination to permit performance of heavy manual work, coordinating the activities of work crews; operating equipment; organizing equipment and materials; performing skilled manual tasks; working alone with minimal supervision; valid class 5 Drivers License; possession of WHMIS certificate ; satisfactory police information check.
Preferred additional qualifications: Pesticide Applicators License; knowledge of automatic irrigation systems; knowledge of pruning.
This is a union position with an hourly rate of $25.01 (Collective Agreement rate) plus $1.00 per hour in lieu of benefits, with a 40 hour week. Anticipated start date is April 30, 2018for a period of 24 weeks.
