Position Overview:
Echen Deni is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator for wildfire rehabilitation work. The successful
candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to support recovery efforts, including land
clearing, erosion control, and replanting preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safely operate an excavator for wildfire rehabilitation projects.
• Perform land clearing and site preparation tasks.
• Assist in erosion control and site grading to restore land after wildfire damage.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to environmental safety standards.
• Inspect, maintain, and perform basic repairs on the excavator to ensure peak performance.
• Follow all safety protocols and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with environmental specialists to ensure minimal impact on wildlife and natural habitats.
Qualifications:
• Valid excavator operating certification or license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating an excavator, preferably in land rehabilitation or construction.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices in wildfire rehabilitation is an asset.
• Ability to work in challenging outdoor environments and remote locations.
• Strong understanding of machinery maintenance and safety procedures.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions:
• Outdoor, physically demanding work in a variety of weather conditions.
• Travel to remote sites may be required.
• Temporary position with the possibility of extension based on project needs.
Compensation:

Youth Peer Support Worker

Foundry is removing barriers and increasing access to health and wellness services for young people ages 12–24 and their caregivers through a network of youth-friendly centres across British Columbia and online. By offering integrated mental health care, substance use services, physical and sexual health care, youth and family peer support and social services, Foundry makes it easier for young people to find support in their communities. Online resources and first-of-its-kind virtual care further broaden Foundry’s reach.

The Youth Peer Support (YPS) Worker participates as a member of the Foundry centre team. Drawing on their own lived experience of mental health or substance use challenges, the YPS worker helps youth and young adults with enhancing their health and wellness, service navigation, and resource information and connects them with Foundry and/or community resources. The YPS worker offers peer-based mentoring and emotional support and works collaboratively with youth, their families and members of the care team. An ability to support neurodiverse, gender and sexually diverse, Indigenous, racialized, rural and remote, or youth and young adults with physical disabilities as a peer would be considered an asset. This position assists with the delivery of walk-in services and outreach activities, offering support both on a one-on-one basis and in a group setting. The YPS worker acts as an advocate and role model, helping young people and their families recognize that with hope, recovery is possible.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Plays a key role in ensuring that the centre offers a safe, welcoming, inclusive and youth-friendly environment.
• Establishes a purposeful relationship with young people and supports their engagement and participation in centre services.
• Provides support, guidance and mentorship for youth and their families and assists in sharing information on resources and live experience system navigation.
• Assists youth with the activities of daily living including time management, organization, and interpersonal communication.
• Accompanies youth to appointments in the community.
• Develops, leads, or co-facilitates group services to promote skill development and mental health and substance use recovery and relapse prevention.
• Coordinates, participates in, or assists with planning recreation and social activities.
• Provides support to aid with reducing youth’s distress, improve or maintain functioning and enable independence and active participation.
• Works collaboratively with team members to meet pre-established goals and objectives, facilitates recovery-based peer support meetings and activities.
• Works collaboratively with centre staff, community, and hospital-based teams to build relationships between youth, families and systems to enhance the awareness of youth and family needs.
• Completes and maintains related records and documentation in electronic medical records and data systems including service information, progress reports and notes, and care plans.
• Participates in team meetings, case conferences and organizational initiatives.
• Works as a liaison between the Foundry centre, the youth accessing the centre and the Youth Peer Engagement Coordinator on the Foundry Central Office team; and
• Participates in various knowledge exchange and learning opportunities facilitated by Foundry Central Office.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The Opportunity:

 

As a Maintenance Technician within the SNRI Maintenance Department you will be joining a multi-disciplined maintenance team supporting the Pine River Gas Plant. Playing a key role within our group, this role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our equipment and facility through preventative maintenance, repairs, and improvements throughout Pine River Gas Plant.The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to work within a dynamic and collaborative team environment.

 

In this role, you will have significant accountability for the operation and maintenance of the Pine River Gas Plant.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Perform “hands on” work required based on the criticality and availability of equipment.
  • Coordinate activities of maintenance contractor(s), ensuring that all relevant procedures are followed
  • Knowledge of maintenance procedures and engineering standards to ensure maintenance projects adhere to compliance.
  • Provide technical assistance in the troubleshooting of all systems related to your qualifications.
  • Take proactive measures to address improvement opportunities through the “Management of Change” system.
  • Work in cooperation with the Planning group to scope out routine and major jobs.
  • Identify recurring problems and documents them so that an engineered solution can be provided.
  • Maintain close contact with the Operations group to insure that the jobs are prioritized correctly.
  • Provide a daily report of relevant activities.
  • Must be capable and willing to provide assistance to other journeypersons and trades as required.
  • Ensure compliance of Sukunka Natural and industry standards and procedures. This will include supporting, participating, and driving our overall safety program, safety awareness, and safety targets.
