Position Overview:
Echen Deni is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator for wildfire rehabilitation work. The successful
candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to support recovery efforts, including land
clearing, erosion control, and replanting preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safely operate an excavator for wildfire rehabilitation projects.
• Perform land clearing and site preparation tasks.
• Assist in erosion control and site grading to restore land after wildfire damage.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to environmental safety standards.
• Inspect, maintain, and perform basic repairs on the excavator to ensure peak performance.
• Follow all safety protocols and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with environmental specialists to ensure minimal impact on wildlife and natural habitats.
Qualifications:
• Valid excavator operating certification or license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating an excavator, preferably in land rehabilitation or construction.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices in wildfire rehabilitation is an asset.
• Ability to work in challenging outdoor environments and remote locations.
• Strong understanding of machinery maintenance and safety procedures.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions:
• Outdoor, physically demanding work in a variety of weather conditions.
• Travel to remote sites may be required.
• Temporary position with the possibility of extension based on project needs.
Compensation:
Competitive wage based on experience. Details to be discussed during the interview process.
